Scout O Rama

Today we went to Scout O Rama, or otherwise known as Kids on crack event.  I say this because some kids were seriously out of control.  Including Parker who seemed to want to throw a few fits while we walked around because he didn't do well on an event. 

We did some cool things and Parker earned his good manners belt loop.  Even though he threw a tantrum while doing it.  Seems standards are a bit low.   I wouldn't have given it to him if I was in charge.  

The boys got to ride on homemade go carts down a ramp,  Greysons cart went further.  Then they got to shoot rubber band guns at army men, dinosaurs and what not.   Quite a few booths devoted to this theme. Another heavily used them was box hockey.  Seriously what the heck?  Yeah we didn't stop at any of those.  Rope bridges and bowling alley were also pretty cool.  Steve was wondering why there were no Plinko games, apparently that was the event they did when he was in cub scouts.  Hummmm... I am thinking Tigers need to make a Plinko board next year. 

My favorite booths however were the ones with food.  They had sticky buns, funnel cakes, quesidilllas, pizza, onions with meatballs and more made by the kids.  There were also Carl's Jr. Trucks with food because they were one of the sponsors.  

Overall had some fun, saw some friends from the pack, and on the way out wished we had gone to the beer fest that was at the next exit.  Seriously how did I miss that???
